Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of softwaresforca.com (“SoftwaresForCA”, “we”, “us”), operated by Startup Atoms LLP. By using the site, or by signing in, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical or digital signature.

2. What SoftwaresForCA is

SoftwaresForCA is a discovery directory and community for software used by Chartered Accountants and finance professionals in India. We list products, describe them using information from vendors' websites and public sources, and publish ratings, reviews and discussions from the community.

We do not assign our own scores. Ratings and recommendation counts reflect what members have submitted. Nothing on the site is professional, legal, tax or purchasing advice, and a listing is not an endorsement. Always confirm features, pricing and compliance directly with the vendor before you buy.

3. Accounts

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• You sign in with LinkedIn or Google. Keep that account secure; activity under your SoftwaresForCA account is your responsibility.
• Your profile must be accurate. Do not impersonate anyone or misstate your designation, firm or affiliation.
• One person, one account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

4. Reviews, questions and replies

You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting it you grant Startup Atoms LLP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, display, reproduce, format, translate, excerpt and distribute it on SoftwaresForCA and in materials that promote or describe the site, including summaries of what the community says about a product. You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence.

Every review and post is moderated before it appears and must follow the Review guidelines. We may decline, remove or edit for formatting any content, and we are not obliged to publish anything. If you delete your account, published contributions remain attributed to “Former member” as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. What you must not do

You must not post, or use the site to share, anything that:

• is false or misleading, including reviews of products you have not used or reviews written for, paid for or incentivised by a vendor without clear disclosure;
• is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or invades someone's privacy;
• discloses confidential client information, including client names, financial data, PAN, GSTIN or other identifiers, or breaches your professional obligations;
• infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights;
• is spam, advertising, affiliate links or solicitation;
• contains malware or is otherwise unlawful, or is prohibited by Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

You must also not manipulate votes, recommendations or ratings (for example with multiple accounts, scripts or paid votes), scrape the site in bulk, interfere with its security or operation, or try to access other users' accounts or our admin systems.

6. Vendors and listings

Vendors and their staff may take part, but must disclose their affiliation whenever they review or discuss their own or a competing product. Undisclosed vendor reviews are removed.

If a listing contains an error, contact us with the correction and a source and we will review it. We do not remove genuine reviews because they are negative, and we decide what is listed and how it is described.

Links to vendor websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products or services, and any purchase is solely between you and the vendor.

7. Our content

The site's design, text, compilation of listings and data, and the SoftwaresForCA name and logo belong to Startup Atoms LLP. Product names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their products. You may share links and quote short extracts with attribution, but you may not copy or republish the catalogue or reviews in bulk without our written permission.

8. Reporting content

SoftwaresForCA is an intermediary for content posted by members. To report content that is unlawful, infringes your rights or breaks these Terms, email the Grievance Officer at startupatoms@gmail.com with the page link and the reason. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and act on them within the timelines set by the Information Technology Rules.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts, remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, to protect other users, or where required by law. Suspended accounts are signed out and cannot post. You may stop using the site at any time.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep listings accurate but do not guarantee that product information, pricing, ratings or user content is complete, current or correct, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Startup Atoms LLP is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to ₹1,000.

You agree to indemnify Startup Atoms LLP against claims arising from content you post or your breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will revise the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Questions about these Terms can be sent to:
